Barry Pactor, managing director of Just Specialist Recruitment stated that Polish nurses were still interested to work in the UK despite reports of Polish workers returning home.
According to Mr Pactor, career development in the UK is the main reason Polish nurses are looking to immigrate to the UK. "From our experience over the last couple of months, what attracts them to the UK is the opportunity to further their career development, which is better over here than over there."

The director also revealed that there was still a shortage of nurses in the UK, particularly in areas such as midwifery, paediatrics, ITU and theatre.
